Dr. Woode was raised in Brooklyn, New York. He obtained his undergraduate degrees in mathematics and computer science at Oakwood University here in Huntsville. He then pursued and completed medical education at the University of Alabama school of Medicine. His post-graduate education included four years of internship and residency in a combined residency in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics at the Wright State University Boonshoft School of Medicine in Dayton, Ohio where he also served as Chief Resident. After completing his residency, Dr. Woode completed his subspecialty training in the management of Diabetes, Endocrinology and metabolism as a fellow at The University of Tennessee Health Sciences Center (UTHSC) in Memphis, TN..

Dr. Woode is a member of the following national medical organizations: the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists (AACE), the Endocrine Society, the American Thyroid Association, the American Diabetic Association, the American Medical Association, and the American Academy of Pediatrics. He has served on the board of directors for AACE and currently serves on the board of directors for Southern States AACE, representing the states of Alabama, Tennessee, Mississippi, and Louisiana..

Dr. Woode has several medical publications and has presented several abstracts at national meetings. His most recent publication is a chapter on Hyperglycemic Crises in Management of Pediatric Obesity and Diabetes.

Dr. Woode provides care for a wide range of Endocrine problems including diseases of the pituitary, thyroid, parathyroid, and adrenal glands, low testosterone, osteoporosis and diseases of the bone, lipid disorders, metabolic syndrome, and diabetes

He, along with his wife, Dr. Charmaine Woode, remains involved with community activities and enjoys educating the community about endocrine diseases and their treatment. He is a member of the Madison County Medical Society and the Medical Association of the State of Alabama, and serves on the staff at Crestwood Medical Center and Huntsville Hospital.

Dr. Woode currently resides in Huntsville, AL, with his wife and their son.
